Notre Dame Pharmacy is a Winnipeg community-based pharmacy that has been in the business since 2017 under the ownership of Ken Hemeniuk, a pharmacist himself.
The pharmacy’s services include free delivery, flu shots, and OTC products for colds, allergies, and gut medication among others.
What we really liked about this pharmacy was how easy it was to collaborate with their staff. They were also really helpful when it came to transferring prescriptions.
One notable thing about them is how filling prescriptions here isn’t just a transaction like how it is in most places, but it’s done with a sense of utmost concern for us. We felt truly cared for and looked after by Ken.
In our opinion, Notre Dame Pharmacy fares far better than bigger pharmacies like Costco, Shoppers, Walmart, and others, despite it being a smaller, local business.
The prices are very fair in comparison to other pharmacies, and their free delivery service is something we particularly have been raving about.
We think this service just helps a lot of people who aren’t able to pick up their medications themselves. We just wish they had more branches to make their services more available.
Overall, we love how everyone was more than willing to help us out, and their attending pharmacists were highly knowledgeable and provided great counselling for most of our health care concerns.

Munroe Pharmacy is a small, family-run, neighbourhood business. Despite that, we had a very pleasant experience with them.
Apart from the usual OTC medicines they sell, their services also include compression therapy, protein consultation, and weight loss management.
We looked at how these services checked out, and we were glad to find that they only had licensed, dedicated coaches and professionals who carry out these activities.
Furthermore, we loved how their website listed down almost everything they had in-store. We were also able to order directly from them.
Munroe Pharmacy feels more like a small town pharmacy where you’re treated with the utmost care, and everyone just strives to go above and beyond customer service.
A few things we found a bit iffy were how quite a few people complained about their high prices, although we didn’t really find that to be much of an issue.
We really appreciated how their pharmacists were quick to assist us and take their time in conversing with us about their services and the things we needed to get.
We think that one of the best traits that make a pharmacy standout is their ability in empathising with customers, and based on our experience in Munroe Pharmacy, we were able to feel cared for, not just as customers.

It’s a small neighbourhood pharmacy, and the quality of customer service and client care is truly exceptional. They had a very attentive roster of staff, and Ryan, Julie, and Stacey were very friendly right from the beginning of our transaction with them.
Their services include immunisations, prescriptions, and consultations. These were carried out well with utter professionalism and confidentiality, gaining instant plus points for us.
Based on our experience with him, by the way, we highly recommend talking to Ryan in Pharmasave Assiniboine Pharmacy for anyone needing travel health advice. He was very prompt and professional, and always came prepared with relevant information.
Despite that, their other pharmacy attendants are also insightful and friendly, making you feel truly cared for.
Apart from that, they also have free delivery service, so it makes it easier to get the things you need.

At first look, the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy looks like any other regular pharmacy. But what’s notable about them is their focus on personalised pharmaceutical services.
In addition to their full-service pharmacy, their other services include a medically supervised weight loss program, diabetes education, medication reviews, travel health consultation, immunisations, and free city-wide delivery.
What we particularly like about them is their reasonable prices. The staff and attending pharmacists are also extremely knowledgeable, and we definitely felt ensured when they handled our prescriptions.
The fact that they also have medication reviews is something we find brilliant, since we try to be as careful as we can when it comes to what we put in our bodies.
Jason and his staff were more than ready to attend to all our queries and addressed our concerns amicably. They filled our orders promptly.
We were only dissatisfied with their weekday schedule, seeing that they close as early as 5:30PM. It seems like an inconvenient hour for customers, especially those needing immediate medication or whatnot.
We hope they’ll find more ways to adjust their schedule, so they can cater to more people.

Founded in 2011, SRx Health Solutions is now known as one of Canada’s more popular pharmacies, with one of the most efficient processes when it comes to serving patients.
We were thoroughly impressed with how their pharmacists were so proficient and helpful, and they were always so calm with their other customers inside the store – a true trademark of being in the helping profession.
The way they approached us let us feel like we were always headed towards the right direction when it came to our health concerns.
We like smaller, local pharmacies like SRx Health Solutions over large, corporate ones, because they tend to be more welcoming and less overwhelming.
Our experience at their store was a true testament to that, seeing how everyone was able to show concern for their customers and patients.
Their easy payment options is easily one of the most notable things about them. We like how they provide financial assistance and offer their Flex-payment plans for those in need.
Finally, they offer free city-wide delivery, and a lot of their products and services are also available online.
We find this to be a really great feature, since it prioritises accessibility for those who can’t go and get their medication from the store itself.
The only bummer about them is the inconvenient schedule. We find that their early closing time can be a bit of a hindrance to their oath of accessible health care.

“Went for COVID test for travel. We happen to live nearly 2 hours away and didn’t have our passports on us as we were not aware this was necessary. The front counter staff and nurse on site (Nav) was very helpful and allowed us to still take our scheduled test if we could send her our passport #s once we arrived home. Despite us taking even longer to arrive back home than we had hoped, she emailed our test results within half an hour. “Update: The folks leaving the pharmacy ahead of us made a point of complimenting pharmacist Steve on how painless their COVID shot was. This is a great place to go to get your shot. It’s small enough you’re not going to have to contend with big crowds or hang around lots of other people. A very secure and safe way to get your vaccine.

Exchange District Pharmacy is another excellent pharmacy option in the area.
We like that they have numerous services, other than simply selling medicines. These other services include vaccinations, medication review, prescriptions for various illnesses, bloodwork and testing, genetic testing, and travel consultations.
We find it very convenient to schedule an appointment for all their services. We just have to go on their website, select the service we need, the date and time we want it to be, and then fill out our information.
In terms of how they deliver their services, we have to say that it’s exceptional. We’ve experienced errors with our prescriptions in other pharmacies, but Exchange District Pharmacy has changed the game for us.
They’re all very caring and go above and beyond to accommodate each of their customers.
We do wish they had more information and content on their website though.
