If you’re looking for a place to hone your personal passion for dance, we think Industria Dance Centre is the perfect centre to do just that.

It was established in 2015 and has been providing both recreational and intense experiences for their attending students.

Their dance program runs for 10 months, specifically September to June, and it culminates with a year-end performance at the Manitoba Theatre Centre.

We like that they provide their students with opportunities to sharpen their skills through letting their more competitive students join at least three competitions per dance season.

They also encourage their students to attend dance conventions to further develop their skills and to gain more inspiration.

We think that their studio is also built well and perfect for dance as it is equipped with sprung flooring to help prevent injuries. The lobby also has a viewing window for parents to see their children.

What we also like is the wide variety of dance classes they have, namely ballet, hip hop, acro, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre. Plus, they’re available for different ages.

The teachers here great as well. We think you won’t make a mistake with sending your children here—we highly recommend!

Customer Reviews

Here are some reviews from their clients:

“Our daughter Hailey has been dancing at RDC for over 5 years now. We have watched her blossom from a shy little girl who was so nervous to dance to this incredibly confident performer. RDC has been absolutely amazing for us. Yes, it is a smaller studio but that is exactly why we love it. You get to know not only your classmates but also the teachers and parents. Miss Nicole, the new owner is so involved and you see how much she genuinely cares about the kids but also the studio. We look forward to many more years with RDC and recommend the studio to anyone who wants to be more than just a number.”

“For the past 5 years I have watched in awe my daughter grow in dance from a clumsy little girl to a beautiful agile young lady at RDC! It has not only become a studio where she can express herself freely in dance but it is also a safe fun environment with a fabulous new director & her staff! Our daughter’s home away from home!! We are very happy and proud to call RDC our dance family!”

Customer Reviews

Here are some reviews from their clients:

“An affordable and well-run dance school. My two girls have been in classes at Maples Academy of Dance since it opened in 2010. The studios are new and clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It is a local family run business and the owners are very welcoming to all students and parents. The classes range from very young beginners, teens, to mature students. At higher skilled levels students are trained to compete and are encouraged to enter in provincial dance events. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in putting their kids in dance classes. A+.”

The first thing to know here is that students get to figure out what they want to learn and why. Instructors do not push them into “empty” dancing where they dance just for the sake of it.

Shelley Shearer likes to nurture talents with a holistic approach. That’s why most choreography here tends to convey certain concepts about life.

Their faculty is also known for going beyond technicality in their lessons. Among other things, they try to cultivate a sense of passion in their students.

You’ll find everything you need here, right from quality lessons to safe spaces. If you check their website, you’ll find that their instructors are also all well-trained and certified.

They accept students of all ages and levels as well. Fear not if you’re a beginner, because you will not feel out of place – they have a lot of beginners here.

Marquis is known for a wide range of dance styles. That’s one of the things we like about them, actually: they have a wide range of lessons that you can try.

Younger students are treated quite well, in particular. This may make them a good choice if you’re looking for a dance school for a child.

Instructors at Marquis have years of proven work experience as tutors as well. They have learned to adapt to changing needs of the students.

Dancers are given room to grow
My daughter has danced at Marquis for several years. She absolutely loves all of her teachers and they’ve all done an exceptional job at helping her grow as a dancer but also as a person. In this pandemic year, Marquis staff has gone the extra mile to ensure that this season has no less value than the others. They’ve shown both flexibility and creativity to keep up with changing restrictions, ensure dancer safety, and still give dancers opportunities to grow and showcase the work they’re doing.” —Nicole Schell, Google Reviews
